There will be 250 tickets available for purchase on-site at Roosevelt Park the morning of the tour. They will be $60.

The registration table will open at 6 a.m. and the ride takes off at 8 a.m., so plan accordingly!

Early registration for 2011 is now open!  This is an introductory rate for the month of July.  Register early to save money and guarantee yourself one of our popular T-shirts.

We’re looking forward to our tenth year and have some exciting things in the works.  The ride is on September 24th, 2011 and will depart at 8:00 am — so mark your calendars, set your alarms, pump up your tires, oil your chains, and we’ll see you in September!

  • The deadline for a free T-shirt with your registration was September 10th.  If you registered after the 10th, your registration does not include a free shirt.  A number of T-shirts will be available for purchase in Roosevelt Park after the ride.
  • REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 at 8:00 pm!  If you would like to register in-person instead of on-line, we will have a booth at Blocktoberfest from 12-8:00 on the 22nd.  Details on the event are here: http://www.uwsem.org/blocktoberfest/
  • THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION FOR THE 2010 TOUR!  Response to this year’s ride has been huge, and in order to be able to guarantee a safe and fun event for our riders, we will not be able to register anyone on site.
  • To guarantee your spot in the 2010 tour, please register now!
  • The Tour de Troit is a non-profit fundraiser for the Corktown-Mexicantown Greenlink.  It is run entirely by volunteers.  As such, it is our policy to not provide refunds.  If you signed up and can’t attend, and you would like to transfer your registration to a friend or family member, please contact us and we will do our best to accomodate.
  • Packet Pickup information is coming!  We will email all our registrants about packet pickup in the week prior to the ride!

    Early fall is a great time to ride a bicycle. There’s a hint of crispness in the morning air, yet the days usually bring shirtsleeve comfort without the humidity of summer.

    About 3,000 cyclists are expected to celebrate the new season Sept. 25 with the ninth annual Tour de Troit, a police-escorted ride through the city’s historic areas that will see most of the riders cover 30 miles at a leisurely pace.

    Well, this year:  No excuses!  The Registration deadline for a free T-shirt has been EXTENDED — until this Friday, September 10, at 6:00 pm Detroit City time.

    Unfortunately all too often communities and departments of transportation are slow to enact ordinances and policies that encourage, or the very least support, non-motorized transportation. Even worse, drivers’ ambivalence to the rights of cyclists to use roadways, can create a dangerous and all too often deadly environment for non-motorized transportation.

    That is why it was so great to see some 2000 cyclists come out to the Motor City on a Saturday morning for the 8th annual Tour De Troit.
