Please listen to these guys and gals, as they are experienced cyclists with specific instructions — like keeping all riders to the right of the road, for example! They are also prepared to change any flats or do minor repairs on the road. If your bike takes a dump, they will call you a SAG vehicle.

What’s a SAG vehicle? SAG means support and gear. A SAG wagon will take you and your bike back to Roosevelt Park if you are unable to complete the ride. A SAG vehicle is not a shuttle, which means it will have to be full of bikes and riders before it makes the trip back to the starting line.

Our ride support includes Wheelhouse Detroit Bike Shop, The Hub of Detroit, American Cycle and Fitness, Detroit Bicycle Co., Suicide Squad, Michigan Trails  & Greenways Alliance, Southwest Bike Club, the Corktown Pheasants Futbol Club and numerous individuals that simply love to ride and like to help others.

This year, your tickets will be Blue or Red. There will be two food tents, one marked Blue, the other, Red. Each tent has exactly the same food options, we are just trying to move lines along as quickly as possible!

Here are this year’s food options:

  • From Slow’s Bar B Q, either vegan chili (V) or meat chili.
  • 2 slices of cheese pizza from Paul’s Pizza (V).
  • An Italian sub sandwich from The Original Gonellas.
  • A burrito from Organaman (V).
  • A pork tamale, rice & beans from Honey Bee Market.
  • A vegetarian treat from Traffic Jam & Snug (V).

This year’s beer sponsor is MillKing IT Productions, and there will be two beer tents, also marked as Blue and Red. Each rider will also have two beer tickets. Water and Vitamin Water will also be available.
